The wolf growled as Darek told him that Zoey liked being hurt - psh, he was just pushing the wolf's buttons. And he was dam.n sure doing one hell of a job tonight, the werewolf was about to fling himself as hard as he could through that barrier - no matter what lay on the inside - that is, if he could ever get through it. 'Zoey I'm not lying, don't listen to him/' Zack countered back as Darek tried to feed her more lies, he didn't know who was getting to her the most. He was worried it was Darek, and all Zack could do was stand there and plead to her, while Darek could control her mind with lies and magic. He just hoped that his own true words that came from his heart would take more effect than all the lies. 'Zoey I care as much about you as I care for Rosalie. I'm not trying to use you and you know it. Please, Zoey. Please, don't listen!'

His eyes narrowed when the brute told him to shut up. He was beginning to get pissed - no more than pissed - with this one. Zack had more authority over him, more power when it came to the people - but what did that matter? Zack didn't have magic, he couldn't make a barrier around himself, or make someone disappear. Which right now he so wish he could, he'd make that bas.tard Darek go away on a deserted island far, far away for a dam.n long time with no ways of coming back. 'It just shows how much of a coward you are.' He spat at the brute once he told him how he had the upper hand because he could use magic to protect himself. Well, Zack use his pure strength.. He was about to snap at the brute some more after he mentioned that angering him would just make Zoey and Rosalie pay -- but it was then the two of them began to discuss Zoey's offer.

The nasty, awful brute kissed Zoey on the cheek and he stood there, snarling and watching - while Zoey looked through one eye at Zack with disgust written all over her face. He was about to say something to her - again, along the lines of 'Please don't go away.' But her own message passed along through his mind. The wolf's eyes brimmed with tears again, his mouth hung open a little and he stared hard at her. Every muscle was stiff in his body - he was ready to pounce still. Every hair stood on end. 'Zoey, no! Don't you dare do this to everyone! Don't do this to yourself!' She finalized the deal in those three simple words. And the wolf lost it. He snarled and went to spring as Darek had the nerve to blow him a kiss.

But it was too late...

He'd taken her away yet again, used his dam.ned magic to get her away from him again. The wolf landed right where the sorcerer had just been standing. And now they were gone. He'd lost his love, and now his best friend. The wolf suddenly found his voice, and let out a roar - it tore from his throat as he screamed. ZOEY! His voice and his cries echoing all around him, calling and calling with each echo. But there was no answer, she was gone.. The wolf dropped to his knees, pounding the ground with his giant fists. His savage snarls turned into sobs - and the wolf was suddenly gone - replaced with a crying Zack, a scream tearing out of his throat...

The now human Zack finally managed to somewhat pull himself together - but the tears still streamed down his face. And that awful feeling of depression and sadness was creeping into his heart, Zack was overcome with emotions that were far, far from happy. He raised up onto his knees and settled into a sitting postition just as he saw the form of another werewolf right beside him. Normally the wolf would've snarled or fought or at least done something - but he was just not into it anymore. He simply stared at the other wolf. Sadness filling his now blank hazel eyes. Dark circle of eyeliner ran down the boy's face as he stared at James, Zoey's brother. He'd only met him once before, and this was at the wedding. But it was nice to know he wasn't the only werewolf around here anymore - and he seemed nice. But that didn't matter right now...nothing mattered. Everything was just fu.cking pointless.

Zack just stared down at his shoes, looking down at his tattooed arms he saw the faint traces of his old, old scars that littered his wrists in the light of the moon. Oh how it would be nice to re-open every single one of them. The boy looked up as James began to speak, his eyes brimmed with tears and they grew wide with every word he said. "Zoey? Zoey is pregnant?" He said aloud, confirming this and mainly getting it across to his own thoughts. But James stopped speaking once he mentioned Darek, and what if he found his sister. Well, it's too dam.n late now. Her heroic brother was just seconds too late..and here he was left with the werewolf who was slowly sinking into himself with depression.

"What happened? I'll tell you what happened, that goddam.n bast.ard took your sister, James." He said, his eyes blazing with hate. But his tone was filled with tears, and sadness. "I tried, I tried so hard to get her not to go..she wouldn't listen to me. He was telling her lies...she listened...I couldn't...make her believe." Zack choked out, wiping furiously at an eye. He listened quietly as the other wolf let out his own frustration and Zack could only sit there and sadly nod his head. "I don't know if she's okay...I don't know.."

Poor Zack, poor, poor Zack. How much longer could he take of this? Really, everything was just getting too him -- it was more than he could take -- and Zack thought he was just so strong, so invincible. And now look at him, the big bad wolf -- sitting here, all lost in his thoughts and wanting to basically end it all. There was no point to this madness anymore - why not just end it all here and now. What good was he? Zack had let Rosalie get taken - and now Zoey. Riley would be pissed at him perhaps for not stopping Darek and then it would just end up in total chaos. He'd have no friends left to comfort him - not that he let anyone hardly even come near him these past few days. And now - now, well he might as well just become a hermit. People were making him feel worse, not better.

What a life this was...

"There's got to be a way to get Zoey back...but I just don't know how. I feel like this is just all some game - Darek is winning - and here we are. All alone." Zack said aloud, half to himself and half to James. He was getting lost - lost within his own self. His own thoughts, his dark, morbid, consuming thoughts. "What'll we do..." He looked down at his Converse clad feet and sighed heavily, his eyes were growing red from all the crying he'd done on his evening. Why was everything just getting worse instead of better?! Why? That question was burning through his mind. It was the question to a million things - but those millions of things would not be answered.

Yet again with this talk - all the talk of getting the two of them. Well, mostly Rosalie. It just seemed so...soo...God he didn't even know anymore. Just hearing her name, thinking her name sent another wave of pain through his heart. He was breaking himself in two. The King of the werewolves sat there, lifting his heavy head he looked up at the other werewolf. His eyes full of sadness and pain and all sorts of emotions that were going to spill out of him at any moment. Who knew what would happen then...Zack sure didn't. He didn't know what to think anymore. He didn't know what to do anymore.

He was numb.

Zack looked back down again and stared at his forearms, the voices in his head were sneering and chanting. Do it, do it. You know you want to. Just end it all now. Kill yourself. A simple cut and it's all done... For now, the wolf shook himself getting those thoughts to scatter away - but he knew, with all his heart, that that wasn't the last he'd hear from them...
